What are the costs when purchasing a property in France?

There are slightly different costs for purchasing a property in France, depending on the type of property you are purchasing:

  • New Property

For properties less than 5 years old, taxes amount to approximately 2.5% of the property price, while you’ll also have to pay land registration and notary fees.

  • Resale property
