Veysonnaz Resort Guide
Veysonnaz is a relatively small, family-friendly resort and, at just 15-minute drive from Sion, is one of the most accessible resorts in Switzerland’s largest ski region – The 4 Valleys. More low-key than its more famous neighbors of Verbier and Nendaz, Veysonnaz attracts a family-orientated clientele who are attracted by its laid-back atmosphere, terrific views, and snow-sure pistes. When you do feel like a glitzy lunch, the glamour of Verbier is easily reached in about 45 minutes on skis via the fast and efficient lift system. At 1,400m Veysonnaz tends to have excellent snow conditions with many of the north-facing pistes holding the snow well into the spring. If you are looking to buy a property in this part of Switzerland, then Veysonnaz’s central location within the 4 Valleys is of particular appeal. Property investors here will find that they can easily reach any other parts of the ski region for a hearty alpine lunch and still comfortably make it back to your apartment or chalet in time for some late-afternoon drinks on the terrace. It is that central location, and property prices that can be up to 50% less than Verbier, that has made Veysonnaz an attractive place for a Swiss property investment. You will find enough shops, bars and restaurants to keep you happy as well as a new spa complex. Veysonnaz is however predominantly a resort for relaxing and enjoying family time with some breath-taking alpine scenery thrown in for good measure!
