Summer in Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel is one of the busiest sports towns in the Alps in both winter and summer. The summer lifts start operating in early spring as “The Streif” opens its 170 km of running and walking trails. In recent years, numerous major bike events have cemented Kitzbühel with a reputation as a top Alpine cycling destination and there are now over 1,000 kms of marked cycle routes across some of the most spectacular scenery in the Alps. There are no fewer than 4 golf courses in Kitzbühel and 30 more within an hour’s drive. Tennis enthusiasts will find some great clay courts that host the Austrian Open, while the beautiful Schwarzsee lake is the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy a swim during the warm summer days.
