La Rosière Resort Guide

La Rosière is high-altitude French ski resort with an extensive ski region that allows for skiing in both France and Italy! Only in La Rosière can you enjoy your traditional French croissant for breakfast and then be dining on Italian pasta near La Thuile for lunch. At 1,850 the resort is snow-sure with impressive south-facing views across the Tarentaise valley. Consisting mainly of traditional chalet-style buildings the resort retains a typically French alpine charm and is a firm favorite for families seeking the convenience of a ski-in ski-out property. The skiing on the French side of the mountain, tends to be mainly south-facing with plenty of family-friendly runs back down to the village. On the Italian, north-facing slopes of the Aosta valley, you will find steeper terrain and plenty of good off-piste skiing.

Property in La Rosière

The property market in La Rosière is split into two main areas: La Rosière Centre and Les Eucherts. A frequent bus service connects both areas, which are only about a mile apart.

La Rosière Centre is the epitome of convenience and desirability within the resort. It's considered the heart of La Rosière, centred around the Roches Noires ski lifts. Some of the older chalet-style buildings have been converted, and now offer investors the opportunity to purchase newly refurbished apartments and penthouses. Many of these properties have incredible south-facing views across the Tarentaise Valley.

Les Eucherts is a relatively new addition to La Rosière. If you want to purchase a chalet, you will probably find it in the newer Les Eucherts area. This region has been designed in a way that blends well with its surroundings and has a new Croisette or ski front. You'll find plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants in this area. Detached chalets within walking distance of the piste can be found for sale from about EUR 1.5m.

Apartment prices can vary a lot depending on the age of the building but smaller apartments can be found for sale from EUR 500,000 with luxury penthouses fetching EUR 1m+.
Recently, La Rosière's property has been attracting plenty of interest due to its relatively competitive prices compared to Val d'Isere and Tignes, its more famous neighbours.
