Rauris is the picture-postcard perfect Austrian village. The new 8-seater gondola lift takes you directly from the village centre and into the varied piste network that includes plenty of marked off-piste routes, an impressive 360 ??° mountain panorama, and an altitude up to 2,175m.

Rauris is nestled between towering peaks and ski-touring fans, off-piste skiers and cross country skiers are spoilt for choice. The valley is surrounded by some of Austria’s most stunning scenery with plenty of peaks in excess of 3,000m.

There are also 35kms of well signposted winter hiking trails that take in the most scenic parts of the snow covered Rauris Valley as well as a flood lit toboggan run.

Summer in Rauris

Part of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the Rauris Valley in spectacular destination in the summer with icy glaciers, epic waterfalls and incredible vistas of the 3,000m peaks all around.

In the summer Rauris really comes into its own and the stunning surroundings make the ideal backdrop for high-alpine hikes, mountain biking and a whole host of other summer activities.

When you adventure up into the surrounding mountains you will find numerous rustic alpine huts, crystal-clear mountain lakes, alpine climbs and over 300 km of marked hiking, biking and riding trails.

Back in the village, there is a sports centre, tennis and a beautiful outdoor swimming complex with incredible views over the village - an ideal place to unwind after a hike in the mountains!
