The Silvretta Montafon ski region includes one of the longest pistes in Vorarlberg. The ‘HochjochTotale’ run will take you down a long and scenic piste that drops an incredible 1,700m in altitude!

For a change of scenery, why not try one of the other ski regions in the Montafon valley? The nearby resorts of Golm, Gargellen, Silbertal-Kristberg and Silvretta-Bielerhöhe can all be easily accessed and add a further 225kms of piste.

No sooner that the snow begins to clear in spring, the summer tourists begin to arrive in Montafon and its time to explore the alpine playground on foot or by bike.
Whether you wish to take the family for a leisurely stroll or tackle one of the steeper ‘black’ hiking routes you will find plenty of variety on offer and a tempo to suit everyone. Just be sure to plan your hiking around a hearty Austrian lunch in one of the 26 high-alpine huts.
Montafon has grown as a biking destination in recent years and the e-bike revolution has led to hundreds of new trails being opened up to the more ‘causal’ biker!
Many of the gondolas and cable cars have also been adapted to allow you to take your bikes right up to over 2,000m where you can get above the tree line and enjoy some spectacular Alpine views from the 270kms of trails.
The via Ferratas also give a great introduction to rock climbing – all in safe and controlled manner – with plenty of epic views of the Silvretta mountain range.
Back in the valley there are two 9-hole golf course in Tschagguns and Partenen.
Studios and smaller ski apartments often start from around €200,000+, especially in accessible villages like Gaschurn or St. Gallenkirch. Mid-range ski apartments close to lifts or with professional rental management frequently sell in the €500,000–€700,000 range.
Detached chalets and larger ski properties typically start from around €1 million+ and can go significantly higher for luxury or centrally-located properties.
