Bad Gastein is a beautiful Austrian spa town with incredible architecture that is built into a steep mountain side.

Often referred to as the 'Chamonix' of Austria, Bad Gastein became famous in the 19th century when the royalty of the Austrian- Hungary empire used to holiday there.

Today Bad Gastein retains that element of grandeur while adapting to life as a modern ski resort. Its nightlife and apres-ski during the winter is legendary, and its property is in high demand.

In Winter the Gastein ski area has some 250kms of piste that rise up to over 2,600m as well as ski touring and cross country trails.
