Kaprun Resort Guide

The ancient village of Kaprun dates back to the year 931 AD and is dominated by it’s prominent castle and church. Kaprun is a rare resort that manages to maintain its traditional Austrian village atmosphere with bubbly locals, excellent cuisine and welcoming bars. The resort is gorgeous with the stunning backdrop of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, Salzburglands highest mountain peaking at 3023m. Kaprun offers outstanding skiing including unlimited off-piste and wide-open skiing terrain for more advanced skiers and snowboarders. The newest lift, the ‘K connection’ allows property owners to take a gondola straight from the village up to the glacier ski area.
