Grimentz’s unique historic centre means that it is sometimes possible to find truly bespoke historic chalets in the 15th century ‘old village’. The old village shares much the same architecture as nearby Zermatt with plenty of old barns and traditional farming buildings. Given the growing popularity of Grimentz and the limited availability of properties, real estate in the area has shown strong potential for capital appreciation over time. The Lex Webber laws have resulted in a shortage of supply which should help support property prices in the future.
